What is desktop or software based video conferencing?

This FAQ was last modified on: Monday, January 22, 2018 03:29pm

Desktop videoconferencing utilizes software installed on a computer, notebook computer or a tablet computer, along with a webcam and microphone to participate in a call with other software endpoints within the same platform, or with a hardware-based videoconferencing endpoint. Some systems may function best if used with a headset with microphone.
