Instead of installing the IPSEC open up a browser on your Linux machine and go to http://anyc.vpn.gatech.edu. Log in using the same credentials you use logging into Buzzport.
Go through the installation process. The Cisco AnyConnect is not kernel dependent.
I tried the installation on Redhat V. I did have to download the installation package. The actual binary is /opt/cisco/vpn/bin/vpnui
