If you do not wish to migrate any data from a pre-existing Dropbox personal account, then please verify that your current Dropbox personal account is not using a username in this format, email@example.com.
Example: If your GT Account is gburdell3, verify that your current personal Dropbox account is not firstname.lastname@example.org.

With GT Dropbox, you can connect another Personal Dropbox account (an account that uses a personal, non-GT email address). This makes it easy to drag and drop between the two accounts.
You can keep your Personal Dropbox account when you request a GT Dropbox account. There may, however, be some considerations depending on what email address you are currently using for your Personal Dropbox account. Please pay close attention to the instructions in the Sign-Up process for a GT Dropbox account.

Georgia Tech provides Dropbox Enterprise accounts to eligible customers who request a Dropbox Account. Access to the GT Dropbox service is not provisioned automatically like some other centrally provided services and must be requested by eligible customers who want access.
