What should I do if I get a security error when trying to activate my GT account?

ERROR: (Security Error): An error has occurred with your login session at passport.gatech.edu.

The above error could possibly occur when attempting to activate an account using a web browser other than later versions of Firefox or Internet Explorer

Even with these browsers, if you continue to get an error, please do the following:

  • Clear the cache / temporary Internet files, and restart the browser.
  • Visit  PassPort website (passport.gatech.edu.) and begin again. 

It is also possible that you may need to install an updated version of one of the above browsers, in order to continue with the process of activating your GT account.
