Duo’s ability to push login requests to your smart phone is fast and convenient. However, for mobile devices it relies on Android or iOS notifications and requires good network connectivity (Cellular or WiFi). As you might imagine, there are times when Duo Push will not be reliable: Weak cell coverage, network issues, etc are just a few reasons why this would not work.
When Duo Push fails with a timeout or other error, you may want to:
- Use a code generated by the Duo application (Click the Key Icon)
- Use a dedicated hardware token.
- Use a printed backup code that you generated from (https://passport.gatech.edu/two-factor)
