Why was the privacy setting of my Office 365 Group changed to Private?

Office 365 Groups that are set to Public can be joined and accessed by anyone with a Georgia Tech Office 365 account and are a potential security risk.  All Office 365 Groups that are set to Public are automatically changed to Private.  When this occurs, all Owners of the Group will be notified via email.
