Duo Mobile on Windows Phone
The Duo Mobile application makes it easy to authenticate — just tap “Approve” on the login request sent to your phone. You can also quickly generate login passcodes, even without an internet connection or cell service.
NOTE: You can reactivate a device or setup a replacement device by using the Passport Self-Service page: http://s1.faq.oit.gatech.edu/content/how-do-i-reset-duo-2fa-new-device-passport-self-service
Please also be aware that even if you have the SAME phone number, but you are switching phones Operating Systems (moving from iOS-Apple to Android or vice versa) you will still need to click on the "ADD ANOTHER PHONE" link in passport self service window.
Doing this will require you to Authenticate via 2 Factor before you can select the NEW software platform , for activation purposes to add your new device.
Adding Accounts to Duo Mobile
- A DUO administrator will send you an MMS message OR an email (tablet users). Click on the installation link in the message and install the DUO MOBILE app from the app store.
- Click the appropriate button to install the application.
- The DUO app should now be installed. Please DO NOT click the "Scan Barcode" button. Instead, click on the "Have an Activation Code? Tap Here" at the bottom of the window to proceed further. This will open the activation entry window where you can enter in your activation code.
- Next, go back to the initial MMS message or email that was sent to you and follow the instructons in the SECOND message, that tells you how to "Activate the DUO MOBILE App". You should be able to "COPY" the entire message and paste it into the "activation entry window" on the right. In the case of text message character count limitions, the activation code can be emailed so that the message could be copied easily. Once it has been activated you should see a "Georgia Institute of Technology" entry. Click the "Confirm Activation" button at the bottom. See the "Passcode" section below for more details on passcodes.
If you ever need to re-add your account to Duo Mobile, contact your administrator.

Duo Push is the easiest and quickest way of authenticating. You'll get a login request sent to your phone — just press "Approve" to authenticate.
If you get a login request that you weren't expecting, press Deny to reject the request. You’ll be given the ability to report it as fraudulent, or you can tap "It was a mistake" to deny the request without reporting it.
Just tap Generate Passcode to get a one-time passcode for login. This works anywhere, even in places where you don't have an internet connection or can't get cell service.
