For some users, the Version History feature may be turned off initially. To turn it on, go to OneDrive for Business, click on Library in the top left, go to Library Settings on the right. Click on Versioning Settings under General Settings, and enable Versioning here.

One of the most useful features of OneDrive for Business is its ability to share and collaborate on Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, OneNote notes, or Excel worksheets, both with other Georgia Tech people and with people outside of Georgia Tech.

OneDrive is a Microsoft consumer service that allows anyone to create an account to get free online storage space and access to the Office Web Apps. OneDrive for Business is a Microsoft Enterprise service that Georgia Tech faculty, staff, and students receive through Office 365 to get 1 TB of online storage space and access to the Office Web Apps.

Starting in February 2014, Microsoft will be renaming their SkyDrive services, SkyDrive and SkyDrive Pro, to OneDrive and OneDrive for Business. You will start to see the naming change in the web client and in your sync clients.

Login to OneDrive for Business (https://docs.office365.gatech.edu) and click on the Gear icon in the top right hand corner and select "Site Settings". Under "Site Collection Administration", select "Storage Metrics". Here you can see your overall usage (top right hand corner) and a break down of per file and folder.

In OneDrive for Business, click on the item you wish to open. The item should open in View Only. Click "Edit Document" in the toolbar and select the first option, "Edit in Word" for example to open the item in the version of Microsoft Word that you have installed. Once the document open, you can click "My document opened successfully, close Word Web App".
